Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway was born on November 12, 1982, in Brooklyn, New York. Her parents are former actress Kathleen Ann and lawyer Gerald Thomas. Hathaway. She is of Irish, French, English and German descent.

In childhood, Ann was raised as a strict Roman Catholic and even thought about becoming a nun. She studied at Brooklyn Heights Montessori School, Wyoming Elementary School in Millburn and Millburn High School. While being a high school student, she took part in various school plays. Her performance in “Once Upon a Mattress” brought her a Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Award nomination for Best Performance by a High School Actress. Later, she attended New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study and American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Hathaway first appeared on the screen in 1999, when she played in TV series “Get Real”. Her first feature film role was in movie “The Princess Diaries”. The most notable movies starring Hathaway are “The Devil Wears Prada” (2006), “Becoming Jane” (2007), “Rachel Getting Married” (2008), “Bride Wars” (2009), “Love & Other Drugs” (2010), “Les Miserables” (2012) and “Interstellar” (2015).

Hathaway have various prestigious awards for her acting skills. She has got Academy Award, Golden Globe, Teen Choice Awards, Saturn Award and many others. She is also in the list of actors, who got the Academy, BAFTA, Critics’ Choice, Golden Globe and SAG Award for a single performance in film (“Les Miserables”).

In 2008, Ann became the face of “Magnifique” fragrance by Lancome. In 2012, she voiced an audiobook, recording of L. Frank Baum’s “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz”.

Since 2012, Ann is married to actor Adam Shulman. In 2015, the couple announced that they are expecting their firstborn.
