Cameron Diaz

Cameron Diaz was born on August 30, 1972, in San Diego, California. Her father, Emilio Diaz, was an employee of the California oil company and her mother, Billie, was an import/export agent. She has an older sister, Chimene. Diaz has Cuban, Spanish, English, Scots-Irish and German ancestry.

Cameron attended Los Cerritos Elementary School and Long Beach Polytechnic High School. In childhood, she dreamt about becoming a zoologist and had many pets. At 16, she signed a contract with Elite Model Management and worked for Calvin Klein and Levi’s brands.

In 1994, the actress made her debut in “The Mask” movie without having any acting experience. The movie was a success and Cameron turned into one of the Hollywood sex symbols. Her other famous roles were in “There’s Something About Mary” (1998), “Being John Malkovich” (1999), “Charlie’s Angels” (2000), “Vanilla Sky” (2001), “Gangs of New York” (2003), “The Holiday” (2006) and “Bad Teacher” (2011). She voiced Fiona for all “Shrek” movies. In addition, she was a producer of TV series “Bad Teacher”.

Cameron Diaz got various awards for her acting skills, including American Comedy, Teen Choice, MTV Movie, Kids Choice and CinemaCon awards. She was also several times nominated for Golden Globe. In 2009, she got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And in 2013, she was named the highest-paid Hollywood actress over 40. The same year, she published her book “The Body Book: Feed, Move, Understand and Love Your Amazing Body”.

Since 2015, she is married to musician Benji Madden. Previously, the actress had relationships with Matt Dillon, Jared Leto, Justin Timberlake and Alex Rodriguez.

Diaz revealed that she suffers from ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and mysophobia (the fear of contamination and germs).
