She was born on April 20, 1972, in Sharonville, Ohio. Her father is Harry Patrick, a musician and entertainer, and her mother Patricia was a singer. Electra has English, German, Irish and Dutch roots. Carmen studied at Ann Weigel Elementary School and took dance lessons from Gloria J. Simpson at Dance Artists studio. Later, she became a student at School for Creative and Performing Arts. In 1990, she graduated from Princeton High School, simultaneously with which she attended Barbizon Modeling and Acting School. In 1990, Electra started her professional career as a dancer in show “It’s Magic” in Kings Island amusement park. In 1991, she moved to California, where she started a singing career after signing a contract with Paisley Park Records. It was then when she became known as Carmen Electra. In 1993, her debut album “Carmen Electra” was released. In 1995, she appeared in various TV shows and in 1996, she first appeared in Playboy magazine.
