Dannii Minogue

Dannii Minogue was born on October 20, 1971, in Melbourne, Australia, to accountant Ronald Charles Allano Minogue and dancer Carol Jones. Her sister is famous singer Kylie Minogue and her brother Brendan is a news cameraman.

At 7, Dannii started to appear on Australian television. In 1979, she got roles in soap operas “Skyways” and “The Sullivans”. In 1982, she joined weekly music program “Young Talent Time”, for which she made her first recordings. For her role in “Home and Away” Minogue was nominated for a Silver Logie as the Most Popular Actress on Australian television. In 1988, she launched her own fashion line.

In 1991, Dannii recorded her first single “Love and Kisses” and shortly, her debut album “Dannii” was presented. In 1992, she made her feature film debut in “Secrets”. In 1997, her single “All I Wanna Do” was a success and was certified gold in Australia. In 2003, she was a host on radio program “Dannii Minogue’s Neon Nights”. In 2006, Dannii introduced her compilation album “The Hits & Beyond”. In 2008, Minogue became the headline performer at Australian Fashion Week. In 2014, she launched her own online store. In 2015, after a long hiatus, Minogue announced about her comeback to music.

Being an actress, Dannii Minogue also appeared on stage. She played in “Grease” (1997), “Macbeth” (1999), “Notre Dame de Paris” (2000) and “The Vagina Monologues” (2000). She also took part in TV projects “Australia’s Got Talent”, “The X Factor UK” and “The X Factor Australia”, where she was a judge and mentor.

In 1994-1995, Minogue was married to actor Julian McMahon. Later, she was engaged to Formula One driver Jacques Villeneuve and musician Craig Logan. From 2008 to 2012, she was in relationship with rugby player Kris Smith. In 2010, their son, Ethan Edward Minogue-Smith, was born.
