Elisha Cuthbert

Canadian actress and model Elisha Cuthbert was born on November 30, 1982, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to automotive design engineer Kevin and his wife Patricia.

When Elisha was 9, she started to work as a model for various brands of kids’ clothes. She first appeared on TV in an episode of “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” and later she continued to play in the TV series. She also hosted Popular Mechanics for Kids. In 1997, she got her first movie role in “Dancing on the Moon”.

In 2000, she graduated from Centennial Regional High School and moved to Los Angeles to proceed with her acting career. In 2001, Elisha played her first leading role in TV movie “Lucky Girl” and got a Gemini Award for it. Small roles in “Old School” and “Love Actually” (2003) were her first Hollywood works. She got her first Hollywood lead role in “The Girl Next Door” in 2004. She also played in “House of Wax” (2005), “Captivity” (2007), “My Sassy Girl” (2007), “24″ (2001) and “Happy Endings” (2011-2013).

Elisha Cuthbert is a great ice hockey fan and even has a blog on the NHL’s website.

The actress dated NHL player Sean Avery from 2005 to 2007. In 2013, she got married to another NHL player, Dion Phaneuf.
