Evan Rachel Wood

American actress Evan Rachel Wood was born on September 7, 1987, in Raleigh, North Carolina, to actor/singer/director Ira David Wood III and actress/director Sara Lynn Moore.

The actress attended Cary Elementary public school and later became home-schooled. During her childhood, Evan spent a lot of time at theater. When she was only several months old, she appeared in her father’s musical comedy “A Christmas Carol”. Later, she played the Ghost of Christmas Past and Helen Keller in “The Miracle Worker” playing together with her mother.

In 1994, Evan Rachel Wood first appeared on the screen in TV movie “In the Best of Families: Marriage, Pride & Madness”. Her first major role was in 1998 film “Digging to China”. The role in “Thirteen” (2003) became the breakthrough one for the actress. She was nominated for a Golden Globe Award as Best Actress – Drama and for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actress. Her most well-known movies are “Pretty Persuasion” (2005), “Down in the Valley” (2006), “Running with Scissors” (2006), “Across the Universe” (2007) and “The Wrestler” (2008). In 2006, The Guardian called her one of the best actresses of her generation.

From 2005 to 2006, the actress dated actor Jamie Bell. Later, she was in three years relationship with Marilyn Manson. In 2012, she restored the relationships with Jamie Bell and got married to him. In 2013, she gave birth to their son. In 2014, Evan and Jaime separated.
