Josie Maran

American actress, model and businesswoman Josie Maran was born on May 8, 1978, in Menlo Park, California.

Josie’s modeling career started when she was 12. At 17, she signed a contract with the Elite modeling agency. In 1998, she appeared on the cover of Glamour magazine and in a year, she made a deal with Maybelline. In 2000, 2001 and 2002, she appeared in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. In addition, she was a member of two music bands, Darling and Hollywood 2000.

In 2001, made her acting debut in independent film “The Mallory Effect”. She also appeared in “The Aviator” (2004), “Little Black Book” (2004), “Van Helsing” (2004), “The Confession” (2005) and “The Gravedancers” (2005). In 2007, Maran was a contestant at “Dancing with the Stars”, but was eliminated in the beginning of the show. The same year, she launched her own line of natural cosmetics “Josie Maran Cosmetics”, sold on QVC and at Sephora.

Josie Maran is married to photographer Ali Alborzi. They have two daughters, Rumi Joon and Indi Joon.
