Monica Bellucci

Monica Bellucci was born on September 30, 1964, in Citta di Castello, Umbria, Italy.

In childhood, Monica dreamt about becoming a lawyer. At 16, she became a model for Liceo Classico. In 1988, she moved to Milan and signed a contract with Elite Model Management. In a year, she was already a well-known model in Paris and New York. She took part in many advertising campaigns, including the ones for Dior and Dolce & Gabbana. In 2002, she was called the most desirable woman by AskMen. Now, she is managed by Elite+ agency in New York, D’management group in Milan and Storm Model Management in London.

Having succeeded in modelling, Monica Bellucci started her acting career. Her first role was in “Vita coi figli” (1990), an Italian TV film. She got her first serious role in 1993 “Bram Stoker’s Dracula”. In 1996, she played in “The Apartment” and got a nomination for a Cesar Award. Her most notable acting works are in “Malena” (2000), “Brotherhood of the Wolf” (2001), “The Matrix Reloaded” (2003), “The Matrix Revolutions” (2003), “The Passion of the Christ” (2004) and “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” (2010). In 2015, the actress played Lucia Sciarra in “Spectre” and became the oldest Bond girl ever.

In 1999, Monica got married to French actor Vincent Cassel. They have two daughters, Deva and Leonie. In 2013, the couple got divorced.

The actress speaks Italian, French, English and Farsi.
