Nicole Richie

Nicole Richie (born Nicole Camille Escovedo) was born on September 21, 1981, in Berkeley, California, to Peter Michael Escovedo, a musician who played with Lionel Richie, and Karen Moss. When she was 2, Lionel Richie and his wife Brenda Harvey became guardians of the girl as her biological parents had financial problems. When Nicole was nine, she was legally adopted by Richie.

Nicole attended Montclair College Preparatory School and later, studied Arts and Media at the University of Arizona in Tucson. She first appeared on TV in 2003 in reality show “The Simple Life” along with her friend Paris Hilton. In 2005, she debuted as an actress in “Kids in America” movie. She appeared in many TV series episodes as well.

In 2005, Nicole Richie tried her hand at singing, but decided not to release an album. Instead, she appeared in music videos of Tamia, Christina Aguilera and her father Lionel Richie. Richie is also a writer. In 2005, she introduced her book “The Truth About Diamonds”. In 2010, she presented her another book, “Priceless”.

In addition, Richie is a designer. In 2007, she started to work at her jewelry, accessories and sunglasses line. In 2008, she presented jewelry line “House of Harlow 1960″. In 2009, she launched “Nicole” line of clothes for expectant mothers. The same year, she presented women’s clothes line “Winter Kate”. In 2012, she introduced her first fragrance “Nicole”.

Since 2010, Nicole is married to singer Joel Madden. In 2008, she gave birth to their daughter Harlow Winter Kate and in 2009, to their son Sparrow James Midnight.
