Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham (nee Adams) was born on April 17, 1974, in Harlow, Essex, England. Her parents are former insurance clerk and hairdresser Jacqueline Doreen and electronics engineer Anthony William Adams.

At the age of 6, after watching musical film “Fame”, Victoria decided that she wanted to become a singer. She attended Jason Theatre School, Laine Theatre Arts and studied at St. Mary’s High School. In 1994, the girl joined group Spice Girls and was nicknamed as Posh Spice. The group was a success and sold over fifty-five million records worldwide. In 2000, Beckham started her solo career with single “Out of Your Mind” and signed a recording contract with Virgin Records. In 2001, she released her debut album. In 2004, Victoria ended her singing career. In 2007, it was announced that Spice Girls planned to make a reunion tour. The same year, they released ther “Greatest Hits” album.

Victoria Beckham is also known for her work in fashion industry. She worked as model for Maria Grachvogel, Dolce and Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli and Marc Jacobs. In 2004, she was a designer of a fashion line “VB Rocks” for Rock&Republic. In 2006, she launched her own denim label “dvb Style”. In 2008, Victoria introduced her eponymous label. In 2011, she won Designer Brand of the Year at the British Fashion Awards.

Beckham is also a writer. In 2001, she released her autobiographical book “Learning to Fly”, which became the third best-selling non-fiction title of 2001. In 2006, one more book “That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything in Between” was introduced. She also appeared in documentaries about her life “Victoria’s Secrets”, “Being Victoria Beckham”, “The Real Beckhams” and “Victoria Beckham: Coming to America”.

In 1999, Victoria got married to football player David Beckham. The couple has four children: sons Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and daughter Harper.
