Angelu DeLeon

Actress Angelu DeLeon (born name Maria Luisa Angela Martinez de Leon-Rivera) was born on August 22, 1979, in Olongapo City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

She studied at St. Joseph’s College, Holy Spirit and Siena College. The girl tried her hand at acting at the age of 10, when she took part in a commercial.

At 12, Angelu took part in show “Ang TV”. In 1993, she played her first feature film role in “Di na natuto”. She also played in movies “Aishite Imasu 1941: Mahal Kita”(2004), “Hellphone” (2009), “Tween Academy: Class of 2012″ (2011), “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy” (2013) and TV Series “Super Inggo” (2006), “Koreana” (2010), “Teen Gen” (2012).

Angelu DeLeon got Metro Manila Film Festival Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1999 for her role in “Bulaklak ng Maynila” and in 2009, she got to the list of “100 Most Beautiful Stars Year 2009″.
From 1998 to 2000, Angelu dated Joko Diaz, who became a father of her firstborn. At the moment, she is married to Wowie Rivera and has three children.
