Alex Garland, who recently knocked it out of the park with the creepy, twisted Annihilation, is set to write the haunted house film The Toymaker’s Secret with Paloma Baeza on board to direct.
Per Variety, the movie “tells the story of an American family who moves into an old Victorian house in London and begins to believe it might be haunted,” which you should just assume anyway if you’re moving into an old Victorian house in London.
TriStar landed the rights for the project, which is reportedly more “family-focused” than Garland’s recent sci-fi fare.
