Ava DuVernay is a filmmaker who deserves to be celebrated, I’m eager to see her adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time.
The book has never received a big screen adaptation before, and judging by the trailers, DuVernay’s vision is brimming with imagination.
And yet, it also looks like the kind of PG adventure movie studios don’t really make anymore.
I don’t know how the finished feature will turn out, but DuVernay has more than earned the benefit of the doubt, and I’m eager to see her spin on the material.
