We keep waiting on the film adaptation of a video game that’s going to break the streak of lousy film adaptations of video games.

It certainly wasn’t the Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider movies from the 2000s, but there’s reason to be confident about the Alicia Vikander-led reboot.

Roar Uthaug did a good job with disaster movie The Wave, the games themselves have gotten stronger, and you have the benefit of Walton Goggins playing the bad guy.
