James’ bestselling novels has not yet petered out in the cinematic realm.

In Bill Holderman’s upcoming “Book Club,” the first book in the trilogy upends the lives of a tight group of older ladies, who just so happen to read the saucy tome in their titular (and, apparently, titillating) book club.The new comedy stars Jane Fonda, Diane Keaton, Candice Bergen, and Mary Steenburgen as four lifelong friends who opt to read the book as part of their monthly group, and find their lives — not just their reading habits — totally changed in the process.
