The streaming giant has debuted the first official look at the second season of their science-fiction horror series “Dark.” The photos are an early sneak peek at the show’s return, as principal photography on Season 2 doesn’t kick off in full until June in and around Berlin.Created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese, “Dark” is notable for being Netflix’s first German-language original series.
The series earned comparisons to “Stranger Things” early on because its story centered around a small town rocked by the disappearance of a child, but it became clear over its 10-episode season that “Dark” was far more heady.
The show’s multi-timeline mystery had more in common with Christopher Nolan than the Duffer brothers.The “Dark” Season 2 first look finds Jonas Kahnwald (Louis Hofmann) navigating a post-apocalyptic village.
