Diego Luna Says Watching ‘Chernobyl’ in Quarantine Was a Big Mistake

HBO’s harrowing 2019 miniseries “Chernobyl,” about the 1986 nuclear disaster in Soviet Ukraine, doesn’t make for ideal quarantine viewing material.

Actor Diego Luna said he learned that the hard way during a recent Instagram live chat with IndieWire’s Eric Kohn, which touched on everything from Luna’s acclaimed run on Netflix’s popular “Narcos” series and the “Star Wars” saga to “Y Tu Mamá También.” But Luna also said his viewing habits took a dark turn right as the pandemic shut down the entire globe.
