Director Cary Fukunaga really burst onto the scene after helming the first season of the acclaimed HBO mystery series “True Detective.” Afterward, the filmmaker was attached to a variety of projects, and actually released the really great Netflix original film “Beasts of No Nation” a year later in 2015, but since then he hasn’t been behind the camera in a while.
