Getting newly-minted Oscar-winner Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse from page to screen must’ve been an absurd process, considering the fact it combines art styles, comic book generations, and multi-verse hopping characters into one, eye-popping package.
So it wasn’t exactly a surprise when some footage from the first trailers didn’t make it to the final cut of the film.
What is surprising, according to a fascinating thread from Spider-Verse associate editor Andy Leviton, is the way Noah Hawley’s X-Men series Legion affected a pivotal scene from the film.
