From writer/director Ana Lily Amirpour (The Bad Batch), the sci-fi thriller Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon follows a mysterious woman (Jeon Jong-seo) with a very powerful ability, who escapes a mental asylum onto the streets of New Orleans.
Once she’s out in the world, she finds herself in the orbit of Bonnie (Kate Hudson), a local stripper and single mother who’s always working an angle and who sees the usefulness in someone like Mona Lisa.
