Roseanne Barr Slammed for Dressing as a Nazi, Promoting Conspiracy Theories, and Deleting Offensive Tweets

The “Roseanne” revival has made headlines for two main reasons: its incredibly high ratings and the fact that its title character is a Donald Trump supporter.

The show’s success has also drawn scrutiny to Roseanne Barr herself, who likewise counts herself among Trump’s fans — and whose online activities have proven highly controversial.Barr recently deleted a number of attention-grabbing tweets, one of which falsely accuses David Hogg — a survivor of last month’s school shooting in Parkland, Florida who has since become an anti-gun activist — of performing a Nazi salute.

(That particular accusation is ironic, given that Barr has also come under fire for a photoshoot in which she herself dressed as a Nazi and posed with burnt “Jew cookies” fresh from the oven.)Among those who’ve called Barr out are “The Big Sick” co-writer/star Kumail Nanjiani, “Twin Peaks” co-creator Mark Frost, and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star Chelsea Peretti.
