‘Scream’ Creator Kevin Williamson Signs First-Look Deal With Miramax

Kevin Williamson, the creator of Scream, Dawson’s Creek and The Vampire Diaries, has signed a first-look deal with Miramax, the production banner that is being rebuilt by CEO Bill Block, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.Under the deal, Williamson will develop what the company calls “high-level motion picture genre content.” More precise details were not revealed.Williamson created the Scream horror franchise and wrote the 1990s horror movies I Know What You Did Last Summer and The Faculty.
