Sony pulls Silver & Black from release slate, but work on the script continues

This probably won’t come as too much of a surprise given that it was reported back in February that the project was on “indefinite” hold, but Sony has now officially announced that it has pulled the planned Spider-Man spinoff Silver & Black from its release schedule.The film, which has Gina Prince-Bythewood (The Secret Life of Bees) attached to direct and would focus on the characters Silver Sable and the Black Cat, has been scheduled to open on February 8th 2019, becoming Sony’s second Spidey spin-off after October’s Venom movie.Despite being pulled from Sony’s slate, it seems the project remains very much alive, with Prince-Bythewood stating that Screen Rant that: “The update is just really pounding out the script.
