‘Star Wars’ Composer John Williams to Quit Franchise After Episode IX

John Williams says that “Star Wars: Episode IX” will be the last movie in the franchise he will score.

“We know J.J.

Abrams is preparing one now that I will hopefully do next year for him,” Williams said on radio station Kusc.

“I look forward it.

It will round out a series of nine, that will be quite enough for me.”Williams has scored eight “Star Wars” films to date: “Star Wars,” “The Empire Strikes Back,” “Return of the Jedi,” “Phantom Menace,” “Attack of the Clones,” “Revenge of the Sith,” “The Force Awakens” and “The Last Jedi.”
