As we pass the halfway point of 2018, the avid movie-watchers here at IMDb have revealed their favorite films of the year to date.Superheroes flew into the list of top movies of many here at IMDb, with Marvel blockbusters ‘Black Panther‘ and ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ making our list of staff picks.R-rated superhero sequel ‘Deadpool 2‘ and the more family-friendly ‘Incredibles 2’ also proved popular.The best scary movies of the year to date,according to IMDb staff, included tense thriller ‘A Quiet Place‘ and horror film ‘Hereditary.’Action blockbusters were among our favorites of 2018 so far ,with ‘Ready Player One,’ ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom,’ ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story,’ and ‘Ocean’s 8’ making the cut.Comedies that made us laugh most this year included ‘Game Night,’ ‘Tag,’ and ‘The Death of Stalin,’ while the romantic comedies we’ve enjoyed in 2018 so far were ‘Love, Simon,’ ‘The Kissing Booth,’ and ‘Set It Up.’As well as ‘Incredibles 2,’ animated movies that ranked highest with the team at IMDb included ‘Isle of Dogs‘ and ‘Early Man.’How many have you seen?
