The Big Lebowski spinoff The Jesus Rolls set for 2020 release

If you cast your mind back a few years, you may recall that John Turturro started shooting a movie entitled Going Places, a loose remake of the 1974 French film Les Valseuses, which was subsequently revealed to be a spinoff from The Big Lebowski, with Turturro returning to the role of Jesus Quintana.Well, it seems the film is finally set to see the light of day, with Deadline reporting that Screen Media has snapped up the rights to the movie – now titled The Jesus Rolls – with plans to release it early in the New Year.Directed by Turturro (with the blessing of – but no involvement from – The Big Lebowski directors Joel and Ethan Coen), The Jesus Rolls also features a cast that includes Bobby Cannavale, Audrey Tautou, Jon Hamm, Susan Sarandon and Pete Davidson.
