Famous horror films like “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre” and “The Conjuring” have taken some of their most terrifying details from things that actually happened to real people.
And one of the scariest horror flicks allegedly based on a true story is Scott Derrickson’s “The Exorcism of Emily Rose.” The film is based on the real-life story of Anneliese Michel, a German woman who was believed to be possessed by the Devil and underwent multiple exorcisms to try to get rid of the demon.
