Universal Pictures is developing a new Friday Night Lights film based on the Buzz Bissinger book.
This time they are looking to hire director David Gordon Green to helm the film.
The director is best known for his films such as Pineapple Express, Joe, Stronger, and the upcoming Halloween sequel.It’s interesting that the studio is looking to remake the movie.
Peter Berg was the director behind the fantastic 2004 film, which ended up spawning an amazingly well-made TV series that ran from 2006 to 2011.
I thought for sure if there ever was another Friday Night Lights movie, it would be a continuation of that series.
But, it looks like that’s not going to happen.This will be a new reimagining of the story and it hard to think that it will be better than anything that was done before.
