Warner Bros., Sony, Turner Reveal Big Gender Gap in Pay and Bonuses in the U.K.

Warner Bros., Sony and Turner have all revealed significant gaps in pay between their male and female employees in the U.K., and an even bigger gender divide in terms of bonuses.In last-minute filings submitted before Wednesday’s government deadline, the three companies reported average pay gaps between men and women ranging from 19.8% to 30.9%.

Regarding bonuses, the gap was as big as 67.3%.All of the companies said the number of men in top-earning positions skewed the figures.

The companies were required to publish their gender pay figures in Britain as part of a new regulation compelling all employers with more than 250 staff to do so.The disparities were starkest at Warner Bros.

Entertainment U.K., where men made, on average, 30.9% more than women last year.

The company fared even worse on bonuses: Although roughly the same proportion of men and women were given bonuses, the men received 67.3% more, on average.
