Sylvester Stallone was born on July 6, 1946, in New York, to hairdesser of Italian origin Frank Stallone and astrologer and dancer Jacqueline, who is of French and Ukrainian descent. Because of complications during the labor, the doctors had to use two pairs of forceps, which severed a nerve and make the lower left side of Stallone’s face paralyzed.

Being a troubled child, the future actor was expelled from 14 schools for antisocial and violent behavior before the age of 13. He attended Notre Dame Academy, Lincoln High School in Philadelphia, Charlotte Hall Military Academy, Miami Dade College and the University of Miami.

Stallone started his career with adult film “The Party at Kitty and Stud’s” in 1970, for which he was paid $200. Having played in several films and TV series, Sylvester got his role in “Rocky” in 1976, which makes him a real star. The other successful movies with the actor’s participation are “Rambo:First Blood” (1982) and its sequels, “Cobra” (1986), “Judge Dredd” (1995), “The Expendables” (2010) and its sequels, “Escape Plan” (2013) and, of course, the sequels to “Rocky”.

However, Sylvester Stallone isn’t only an actor. He directed, produced and wrote scenarios to some movies, starring him.

From 1974 to 1985, Stallone was married to actress Sasha Czack, who gave birth to two sons: Sage, who died in 2012 because of a heart attack, and Seargeoh, who suffers from autism. In 1985, he married model Brigitte Nielsen, but in two years they got divorced. The actor’s third wife is model Jennifer Flavin, with whom he has three daughters:  Sophia, Sistene and Scarlet.

The actor got to the list of top heroes of all time by the American Film Institute under number 7 after Gregory Peck, Harrison Ford, Sean Connery, Humphrey Bogart, Gary Cooper and Jodie Foster.
