Dwayne Johnson’s “king of the concrete jungle” movie Rampage reigns supreme over the Friday box office in its opening weekend with a $11.5 million debut.
There’s little surprise that audiences were willing to check out this smash-em-up spectacle movie which, as I said in my review, is perfectly entertaining, mindless fun.
What remains to be seen is if The Rock’s charisma has enough heft to carry the film to the top spot throughout the weekend or if horror film upstarts A Quiet Place and Truth or Dare are going to make a play.
