Alan Moore Wants His DC Film and TV Royalty Checks Donated to Black Lives Matter Instead

Alan Moore is turning down any compensation for film and TV series based on his comics.

The “Watchmen” creator, notoriously outspoken about adaptations of his work, told The Telegraph that he instead wants DC Comics royalty checks sent to Black Lives Matter.“I don’t really feel, with the recent films, that they have stood by what I assumed were their original principles.

So I asked for DC Comics to send all of the money from any future TV series or films to Black Lives Matter,” Moore said.Moore has long been critical of screen versions of his comics.
