The action genre has seen a number of major entries, including the John Wick series and The Expendables (which will see its fourth installment hit theaters this September).
One of the most underrated film series is The Equalizer.
Based on the 1980s television series of the same name, the Equalizer films star Denzel Washington as former black ops agent Robert McCall, who despite his efforts to live a peaceful life ends up utilizing his “particular set of skills” to dispatch the wicked.
Washington portrays McCall as a calculating, coldly efficient agent of death.
And a large part of that is due to the character element Washington added to McCall — that he lives with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or Ocd.
