After last weekend saw a franchise record debut for Universal and DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, this weekend serves as something of the calm before the storm that will be Captain Marvel, which the industry is counting on to give the 2019 box office the jolt it sorely needs.
