Daniel Roher knew little about the Russian political landscape when he started interviewing Alexei Navalny for a documentary in 2020.
However, after completing work on the end result — aptly titled “Navalny” — and watching Russia invade Ukraine as the now-imprisoned Navalny predicted, Roher said he was certain about one aspect of the country’s government.“They’re a bunch of losers,” he said in an interview over Zoom.
