Matt Damon is a big star, but he hasn’t really committed to getting into the superhero genre.
The furthest he went was a cameo role in Thor: Ragnarok as an Asgardian actor playing Loki, but obviously studios would be happy to try and get him for something bigger, and apparently Sony has already tried.
In a new episode of Meet the Movie Press [via The Playlist], it’s rumored that Sony approached Damon about playing the villain in the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming 2.
