Sigourney Weaver is officially on board for Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters 3.
There has been speculation about the original cast coming back to reprise their roles, and this seems to be the best indication that everybody is returning.
Weaver, who turns 70 in October, was discussing upcoming roles, including the Avatar sequels, which will see her return to New Zealand in order to shoot the live-action portions with James Cameron and crew.
She’ll be playing a new character in the Avatar sequels since her original character was killed off in the first installment.When speaking of other new projects she is excited about, Sigourney Weaver brought up Ghostbusters 3.
“It’s going to be crazy working with the guys again!” says Weaver.
She would not go into further details about the highly anticipated sequel, other than the fact she is reprising her role as Dana Barrett.
