Some book-to-movie adaptations, like Jaws or the entire Harry Potter franchise, stand the test of time.
Others, not so much.
It’s tough to distill exactly what makes a compelling literary adaptation to the big screen.
It can be a combination of winning performances by beloved actors.
Deeper still, any good adaptation must tell the best story from the source material.
